It's Friday and it's a Good One

I've never really understood why this day in the Christian calendar is referred to as Good Friday. There was nothing good about it.

It was a dark day, and in so many ways a painful day for a mother, a family, the 11 disciples and those privileged few who had the gift of faith bestowed upon them.

2000 plus years on, I'm thankful that this day is still observed.  Not everywhere and certainly not in the countries that I have been fortunate enough to live in, but in my heart.

Whether you observe Easter or not, i hope your Friday was a good one.

A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34–35)
